Terms of Agreement
All SFO.Com Customers, reguardless of services purchased, are required to abide by the terms set forth in this document. Acceptance of payment by SFO.Com, and of service by the customer shal be construed as agreement between parties to these terms, and any penalties set forth within.
Hosted Web Pages
- A Web page hosted at SFO.Com does not constitute endorsment of the product or service that is associated with the web page by SFO.Com.
Hacking
- There will be a $1000.00 charge per incident for anyone found hacking or attempting to hack into any part of the SFO.Com, Inc. system.
- The term hacking is defined here by example and not limited to the following: Sniffing passwords, port scanning, DoS (Denial of Service) attacks, having /using/compiling remote and/or local exploit(s), having or compiling any code that we can define as being potentially harmful, and/or any other means of malicious intent that is determined by SFO.Com
- If you still have questions of what constitutes hacking, or need further definition, please contact us before you do it at abuse@sfo.com.
- All users that are on, using, abusing or in any way attached to any part of the SFO.Com's network, are subject to monitoring without prior notice.
- Information collected from such monitoring will be purged automatically after a set period of time, and is not sold, given, or otherwise disclised to any third party unless in the interest of determining a possible abuse, or in compliance with a court order.
Spamming / Abuse
- SFO.Com does not accept unsolicited commercial email as defined by California Business and Professions Code Section 17538.45
- SFO.Com Defines "spam mail" as any email addressed to a person with whom the sender does not have an existing relationship with, sent without the express concent of the recipient.
- SFO.Com Defines a "hosted web site" as a web site located on any SFO.Com server, or co-located equipment.
- SFO.Com Defines an "email drop box" as an email box setup for the express purpose of collecting replies to spam mail.
- SFO.Com Defines "harvesting" as any method of obtaining email addresses other than by expressed concent from the owner of that address, for the purpose of sending spam or other unsolicited mail. This includes, but is not limited to searching web pages, usenet postings, internet "white pages" and other sources, or directly querying mail servers, LDAP directories, FTP and finger servers.
- There will be a $500.00 charge for anyone found sending spam mail from SFO.Com, harvesting addresses using SFO.Com equipment or connectivity, or advertizing a hosted web site, or email drop box via spam mail. We reserve the right to charge for each of these abuses seperately, and terminate your account.
- California
has several laws reguarding spam mail that apply not only
to SFO.Com members, but also to anyone using SFO.Com
to deliver mail. (including delivering mail to a SFO.Com
address) One of these laws provides up to a $25,000 penalty for
spamming, defining spam in the following manner: "It is
addressed to a recipient with whom the initiator does not have
an existing business or personal relationship" and "It
is not sent at the request of or with the express consent of the
recipient."
